Studio Information

Welcome to the world of Ink - Line - Nation! How to find us : M5 J27 (Barnstable). A361 - Ilfracombe. Follow signs for sea front - 500 yards from Landmark Theatre. You will find our studio open and spacious, which is good if you are claustrophobic... it's inviting if you haven't ventured into a tattoo studio before and amusing if you have a warped sense of humour. And don't ask about the Monkies!!!... Oi! I said don't ask...... We have lots and lots of designs, more than you can shake a stick at... if you don't see a design you like feel free to ask as we'll be able to design a tattoo for you. The only merchandise we have available at the moment is permanent and on your own skin. T- shirts and other goodies may be available in the near future... The tattoo room itself is spacious and clinical, but not forbidding for people with a phobia of needles. Privacy is also a must, so fear not, if you don't wish to have an audience you don't have to. This be , she will greet you with a cheery smile and assist you in choosing your artwork. ALL ABOUT AL NAME: Alan (aka Alberdire, Alfonzo) AGE: 21..., er, um, thirty - something OCCUPATION: Chief tea maker, also been known to tattoo... and fit out shops (including his own studio)! HOBBIES: Occasionally, oh and trying to find people with likeminded sense of humour. AL'S VIEWS ON TATTOOING I've been in the tattoo business for about 12 years, I was lucky enough to get an 'old school' style apprenticeship (usually mundane stuff like making tea, gofering etc). I didn't qualify over night like most people think you do. I'm still learning every day and with every tattoo I do. Why? Because I've never found two people alike to tattoo. It doesn't matter how many people I've tattooed or the same design I've done for the hundredth time. Each tattoo has it's own little bit of individuality. The way I see a tattoo is, that it is one of the most personal things you will ever own and to apply a one dimensional object (tattoo design) to a three dimensional object (the human body) has got to be perfect. So, I will always put 100% into my tattoo work, whether it's a tiny butterfly or a full bodysuit. I like to do all styles of tattoo, from traditional 'hearts and flowers' to custom work using the customers idea. 'Cover - ups' are one of my specialities, I also enjoy tattooing back and grey style. So, if you like what you see of my art work, and can tolerate my sense of humour, I hope to see you in the near future. If you'd like to visit our friends at the Bath House Hotel will provide excellent accommodation and meals at great prices... it's our second home!
